@[Rocker.pg]
Master's Degree Programme in Information and Communications Technology is a special program offered jointly by Finnish and Russian universities. It won't be much hard to get in (with your profile), however keep in mind you will have to spend 1 or 2 semesters at a Russian university and I think there you will have to pay some tuition fee (depending on the university).
Masters in Networking and Services, at university of Helsinki will be hard to get in, UH has a small CS department and is very selective.
I'd suggest you to look at TUT and LUT in Finland, both have very good CS program. LUT should be safe, while TUT should be gettable.
Both programs at Chalmers will be almost safe for you, KTH will also be pretty much safe. Don't worry about 75% requirement. Apply for it, both KTH and Chalmers are very good universities. You, indeed have very good chances to get scholarship from Chalmers, if you keep it on 1st preference.
Good luck.

CS is not my field. However, German universities in general pay a lot of weightage to acads. The two universities you have mentioned are ambi.

Some of the universities you can look at are (I´m not sure if they have English courses - you will have to check) Paderborn, Düsseldorf, RWTH Aachen, Saarbrücken and Darmstadt.

Pretty impressive profile there, but the acads are a tad low. But you've got a lot more to support your profile, which the Germans will definitely appreciate.

I'd suggest you look at the Paderborn University for CS, it's supposedly ranked 3rd in the world for CS and it's pretty darn good. Very, very intensive course there, though. You'll get in easily there, because one of my friends with a vastly inferior profile was selected there. You could also take a look at the CS program in TU Delft, it's also pretty well regarded here.

And please don't bounce the thread for every few hours with tags, we're not on Edulix 24x7!

@[billa] KTH and Chalmers specify that Indian bachelor students don't require to prove English proficiency Shocked So I guess I ll be safe without sending toefel or ielts score??

Also I wanted to ask whether international students have separate classes to local Swedish people? I am asking this because getting friendly with the locals is really important.... And studying under the same roof really increases your chances to get friendly

Lastly how open are those Swedish blondes to Indians?? Laughing Cool

Well, yeah they don't require TOEFL from south asian students with degrees in Engineering, but I can see you have good TOEFL score, so why not sending it anyway? Its your choice anyway.

No, although there are some master degrees taught in Swedish, a lot of Swedish students attend the courses offered in english. In fact many of the courses have only a few international students, rest of them are Swedish.

Yes, I totally agree that you should try to integrate with the local culture. Swedish people are very polite and friendly but shy.
There are lots of ways to get social, university pubs, parties, sports, etc. etc.

hehe, there's a little problem, there are not many in Chalmers CSE department, and outside the university, most of them think Chalmers students as 'boring looking nerds Laughing', so you've to do a bit struggle Laughing

Regarding the "Aptitude Test" at TU Munich -- They specify that the application is considered on academic qualifications and in some cases an interview is also arranged with the applicant. But silly of me to go by the word "Aptitude Test", do they take some sort of exam??

Well, It would be more like an interview over phone/skype. However, could you post the link here so that I can be certain of the same?

This is from the same link. And I believe its quite clear (See part in bold).
Quote:At TUM aptitude tests are conducted for the majority of study courses. Several criteria are used in the selection of students: grade point average of final secondary-school examinations (“Abitur“), motivational letters and possibly hands-on experience in connection with the planned course of study as well as, in some cases, an interview with the admissions committee.

This interview is not an exam. It is an interview designed to find out whether it can be expected that the applicant will master his/ her studies successfully.

I've heard TU Munich sometimes conducts interviews over the phone. Don't really have any idea other than that mate, sorry!
