Rocker.pg Did you try calling universityadmission office and ask if they have received documents already?

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

billa I did.... They are saying that since they receive thousands of application, the arrival of documents can only be confirmed after they have been scanned. They seem to use queue based system for scanning the documents. I guess if my documents have reached, they haven't yet been popped out of the queue.

It's like I'm sitting in a complete black room, waiting for someone to unlock the door so that I can see the light again.

Also billa Denmark Technical University asks for the proof of having sufficient funds as a required document at the time of application with 100 euros application fee!!! Neutral Confused I suppose I cannot provide them with the proof yet, so will the 100 euros be all waste if I send in my application.??

you can drop DTU, if you have applied to Finland and Sweden. No any sense to pay so much tuition fees there when you can get same education for free in other nordic countries.

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

I don't know how the status changes, because in my page it says only "in progress". However there's no information regarding delivery. My package arrived at sweden way way before deadline but my TOEFL is still on road (I think still 1 months needed). Only Chalmers changed the status as "UNQUALIFIED" because of TOEFL matter.

I think being one day late wouldn't hurt your application. You can relax.

Aalto informs you on the delivery day. They are very careful and interested.

Rocker.pg dude you should have sent it through DHL!!! my documents reached in 5 days, as promised by them...
I've applied to almost all universities on my list.... The wait is endless!!! Sad
And one more thing, I had been to the UK education fair held in Banglaore yesterday... I was offered spot admission by "Birmingham city University" XD

I just had to gone there to ask them about the visa regulations and job prospects, and he told me there are doing spot admissions, and if i had documents, i can submit it and the admission officer will evaluate and give spot admission... fortunately i had my documents with him... I did not even want to submit original copies of my lor, so i submitted photocopies of my lor and they accepted xD

So i have my first admit! Razz

(P.S- i definitely will not be going to Birmingham city University) Very Happy

billa they have identified my application as unqualified because my TOEFL scores sheet has not reached at Sweden yet. I have ordered my scores 2 months before deadline. That's how ETS works !!

Rocker.pg at the main screen, "in process" changed into "unqualified" with red color. Other three universities still "in process".

billa As the rankings for Masters in Software Engineering was out from Chalmers as mentioned by jasimwhd I have been in a state of fear and regret right now. So I tried to contact one of my friends who went directly for NORDSEC Erasmus Program last year after graduation and he said that considering a CGPA of 6.8304 you wont make it to KTH and Aalto and Chalmers will be almost impossible for you. Those were his exact words. Damn, but according to your evaluation, KTH and Chalmers are mod-safe for me. I am losing my mind although trying to control my emotions very hard. I know that nothing is permanent until we get final results for sweden on 16th March. Also since I do not believe in GOD, I have no one to pray to Razz Sad

Rocker.pg

First of all sorry for any of my suggestion causing you disappointment.
If you read my previous posts, I have always mentioned that KTH always have large intake and it used to be easier to get in compared to Chalmers.
But things have changed since last year since they have implemented tuition fees, the number of Non-EU applications dropped very much, for that reason it has become easier for the fees paying students. So, I still believe you have chances to get admission, (scholarship's another issue).
And I don't think I have said any Swedish/Finnish university as safe.

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

billa Please don't embarrass me with your apologies. You are the only one who delivered help to me when I needed it the most in life. Its just that I really want to go to a good university in Europe to amend for all the mis-deeds I did in my bachelor, not ignoring the fact that in terms of environment, Indian universities are lagging very far behind. The people's attitude is very casual and under-rated given the fact that it just another consequence of overall India's environment in relation to the world events. Also, I agree that I never thought that any Swedish/Finnish University will be safe for me but my friend saying plainly that it is gonna be a NO-NO from these universities has boggled me up to the core. But anyways, being the guy who always takes into account the best case and worst case scenarios at all times, it will not be a surprise that will stop me in the tracks. Hope is all I have right now but will keep a reality check in place. Again,I will say that whether I make it or not, I really appreciate your effort towards us. Smile

@ billa
Heyy.. buddy..!

I hv applied to Aalto university for Mechanical Engg. Cud u suggest me abt the job prospects associated after culmination of course ? Also throw sm light on part-time jobs (both on-campus nd off-campus) too. I received a confirmation frm TU/e for Automotive Technology and awaiting a result frm Politecnico Di Torino for Automotive Engineering. I would really appreciate if u can tell abt job prospects of Politecnico Di Torino considering the whole programme is managed nd conducted by FIAT under its own premises and Turin is the hub of Italian Automotive & other manufacturing Industries. So, in ur opinion which uni would prove to be a better option..? I hope u'll reply soon nd help me bulid better conscience.

UPDATE

Awaited - Aarhus University, University of Eastern Finland
Admits - Chalmers, LUT
Rejects - Aalto, TUT and Jyvaskyla

Now, billa After careful consideration I have decided its either gonna be Chalmers or Aarhus for me if I get admit from Aarhus. Now for instance, and most probably, I get admit from Aarhus without scholarship, expenses at Aarhus almost same as Chalmers, should I go for Aarhus or Chalmers? As you know, Aarhus is highly ranked in top universities of the world.

1.How would you compare the two universities in Computer Science field?
2.Job and Research Opportunities?
3.Native CS market?
4.Lifestyle standards?
5.Country comparisons?
6. Any other miscellaneous factors?
