Hi shaifaliparashar

I have applied for Erasmus Mundus Master VIBOT at University of Burgundy and I was selected in the reserve list. That means I have been admitted to join the university but with no scholarship.

I am considering joining the university for the course Master in Computer Vision (MCV) due to the reasonable tuition fees (1000 Euros/year).

I would also like to know if there is anyone has studied at this university before.

Good luck Smile

There are some very active Erasmus Mundus groups on Facebook, and some very active desi EM groups as well.

1) Please mention as many details as possible about your academics, research and work-ex, in terms of projects worked on, technologies used, roles/responsibilities handled, papers published/presented, awards/honors obtained, etc. All those have to be put in the misc details section of your UniSearch profile if you expect any help on Edulix. Also, before requesting for profile evaluations, please go through this excellent post.

2) Please take some time out to read these three threads in their entirety. PLEASE do that before asking questions about universities from a comparison perspective, or jobs, or coursework, or H-1B visas, or "placements", irrespective of which univ/department/program/major you're applying to.

I love to read, and then I regurgitate. I write - a lot - as my posts here and on other outlets would show. I do not make apologies for what I write (and how long it is). I do not sugarcoat things either. I don't tolerate vague questions, for any reasons - ignorance arising out of an inability to locate information when the necessary tools to do so (i.e. the internet, libraries, university websites, other forums/bulletin boards, etc.) are readily available, is not any kind of an acceptable excuse.

So far, I have applied to two Erasmus Mundus Masters and I was selected in the reserve list for both Masters. The other Master was CIMET [Color in Informatics & Media Tech], ranked 43th position for this one and 74th in VIBOT Brick wall.

Within the coming days, I'm going to apply for some German universities as well. Hoping for the best.

Take care.

Yes. That's quite true when it comes to VIBOT. They have a very active Facebook page and the coordinator Prof. David Fofi is very friendly as a matter of fact. But the page lacks some response from senior students who I think can provide more beneficial info than the coordinator himself.

@ Diplodo...You and I are in same boatVery Happy...I was also waitlisted for both programs...replied the email saying I am joining MCV...also applying to German Unis as backup..
Regarding MCV course in U of Burgundy...three seniors of our college(Pulchowk Campus,Institute of Engineering,Tribhuvan University) are studying there...According to them..the course is very good..actually MCV is better than VIBOT (according to them Very Happy ).....

gajenjung, Good to know that we're in the same boat Laughing

I don't know why those seniors students would consider MCV as a better program than VIBOT! But my best guess is that uBurgundy is much better than the other universities organizing VIBOT, which gives MCV some advantage. I did some research about uBurgundy and I found out that this university has an excellent reputation in research fields like computer vision and image processing.
