1. I don't have experience of online forms, but for the residence permit the amount should be in your personal account.

2. Are you sure they don't use IBAN format in India? Its just your account number in international format. You should ask from your bank and make sure that you write the number in correct format so that if they try to verify anything from your bank, they can find your account.

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

Billa,

1.) I have dropped TOAS a mail regarding the first query. You are right about the Residency Permit part.

2.) I was not aware that IBAN number was our Account Number in an International Format. When I visited ICICI Bank, they said it stood for 'Inter-Bank Account Number' and was not relevant for Indian Banks but only for EU Banks. They said that the Swift Number would suffice.

Nevertheless, Thanks for the Information. Much Appreciated.

Adarsh Raj Oh wait a second, I totally missed that you were talking about TOAS. I thought it was residence permit application, sorry for that.

As far TOAS is concerned, it does not have to be your personal account. They just need it to return the security deposit etc. Once you get Finnish account number, you can change then.

IBAN is International Bank Account Number. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internation...unt_Number

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

Guys,

Need some help while filling up the online application of resident permit.

Can you tell me what do we need to enter in the following columns :

1) Occupation
Should I write here my current occupation? The problem is I am going to quit my company during 1st week of July. This field is mandatory, so I can't leave it blank.

2) In the passport details section :
Authority of issue
What do we need to write here? I got my passport when I used to live in Jaipur. Should I write "Passport Office, Jaipur"

3) In the residence column :
How long do you intend to stay in Finland?
Should I write 01/08/2014? The resident permit is given for an year, so I am quite confused what to write over here.

Duration of stay?
I assume 2 years right?

How to update Infobank and Prof Eval thread

Super busy these days. Replying to threads might take some time.

P.S -> Currently busy with my start-up. If you tag me in your thread please send me a reminder on ujjwal.mairh@gmail.com. Please don't send me the profile evaluation query on my email. That is just for notifying me in case you need a quick response. Also, include your thread link when you send me an email.

1. For Occupation: It doesnt matter when u quit. If u are currently employed just write ur designation.

2. Authority of Issue: Regional Passport Officer, Government of India.

3. How long do u intend to stay: duration is 2 YEARS, and period is from 01.08.2012 to 31.07.2014(Assuming this is ur academic period)

Hope i clarified Smile

I direct your attention to 'Residence permit for Student' at this Link. Please Read Point (4) - 'In cases, where the applicant has received funds from elsewhere (family or others) a written statement from the sponsor, his sources of income and six months bank statement is to be included with the application. '

Hope this Helps. ATB.

Either Serach "Prospective Indians to Aalto" in Facebook or access : http://www.facebook.com/groups/129331793807857/

I am done with my RP process. Please ping me in case of any queries with regards to the RP. Also please note till last year if u submit a DD of Rs.200 and a self addressed envelope, they wud mail the passport back to u via courier. But this facility is not available anymore.

Happy to help

Hi Everyone.

This post is primarily aimed towards future applicants for Finland Residence Permit

The decision towards Residence Permit can become available in as early as 2-3 days after you visit the embassy i.e. the application has been initiated. After which your passport and residence permit will become available at the embassy within 7-10 days further.

Please note that since January 2012, students have the choice of applying online and pay the fees online too. Trust me, this is very fast and I recommend doing the same. Please make online payments and not through DD as the latter consumes unnecessary processing time.

Make sure to upload all the documents listed below.

1. Passport
2. Photograph
3. Admission Letter
4. Under-graduation Degree
5. 12th and 10th Class Certificate
6. Balance Certificate stating an amount in excess to 6000 Euros
7. Employment Certificate(if any)
8. Proof of Funds:-
a. Sponsor affidavit, Balance Statement, Employment Certificate/Payslip
b. Else, Your own income payslip, Employment Certificate
9. Health Insurance
10. IELTS/TOEFL Test Score Report

Please note that you can supplement your application later on after the application has been sent and payment has been made.

I hope you have an easy time.
Good Luck to all.
