Hi,

I'm planning to apply for Masters in Automotive and Computational Mechanics courses for FALL 2013. Please evaluate my profile for the following universities:
My Profile:
SSC:89.6% (Maharashtra Board)
HSC:92.67% (Maharashtra Board / Univ topper in PCM : 298/300)
College : Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai University
UG Acads : 72.5 % (Overall) . Topper : 83%

Projects :
Team Captain for Baja SAEINDIA 2010 and 2011 (Won a prize in 2010)
Team Member for Supra SAEINDIA 2011 (Won 3rd prize overall) (same submitted as final year project)
Specialization in Vehicle Dynamics and Computational Sciences in all above projects

Attended workshops for 'Motorsport Engineering and Vehicle Dynamics' and 'CFD : Fundamentals and Training', among others

No internships and no paper publications

Have completed till B1 level of German. Pursuing B2 and intend to complete C1 before next year July.

Currently employed in an Automotive OEM in R&D (related to choice of masters course)

List of courses where I intend to apply:
1. TU Munich : Computational Mechanics
2. Stuttgart : COMMAS
3. TU Kaiserlautern : Commercial Vehicle Technology (CVT)
4. Esslingen : Automotive Systems (Vehicle Dynamics)
5. Esslingen : Design and Development in Automotive and Mechanical Engineering
6. TU Essen-Duisburg : Computational Mechanics
7. FH Aachen : Automotive Engineering
8. Chalmers University : Automotive Engineering

Please evaluate my profile and I would really like some suggestions for other universities offering similar programs in Germany.

Awaiting Reply.

udaydphutane Good leadership activities and active SAE member which adds value to your profile

1. TU Munich : Computational Mechanics - Ambi
2. Stuttgart : COMMAS - Ambi need 75-80% minimum marks
3. TU Kaiserlautern : Commercial Vehicle Technology (CVT) - Safe/mod
4. Esslingen : Automotive Systems (Vehicle Dynamics) - drop this (people with plenty of work experience apply here only 3 seat available for Indians ) Check specfic thread you get to know about this.
5. Esslingen : Design and Development in Automotive and Mechanical Engineering -Same as above
6. TU Essen-Duisburg : Computational Mechanics - mod
7. FH Aachen : Automotive Engineering - mod
8. Chalmers University : Automotive Engineering - mod (possibility of getting scholarship is low but high chances of getting admission but expensive)

1. TU Munich : Computational Mechanics AMBI.. They like students who have close to 80%. but you might get in with a good GATE score
2. Stuttgart : COMMAS AMBI same acad reasons as above
3. TU Kaiserlautern : Commercial Vehicle Technology (CVT) Safe a lot of the electives are completely in German language. please check if you are up for it
4. Esslingen : Automotive Systems (Vehicle Dynamics) AMBI Esslingen is like a jackpot no one knows who will hit it. But you chances of hitting it increases if you are a university topper
5. Esslingen : Design and Development in Automotive and Mechanical Engineering a little less ambi than above but agaib ambi
6. TU Essen-Duisburg : Computational Mechanics Safe
7. FH Aachen : Automotive Engineering SAFE
8. Chalmers University : Automotive Engineering Mod-Safe.. You need to get scholarship here or else it's very expensive
Try for Fh aachen this summer only. you will in all probablity get in
you can also check for TU/eindhoven automotive, RUB computaional science, Ingolstadt automotive
But do look into the pros and cons of studying in fh [b]

Well try and understand that the general level of education in Germany is very good. And you have sufficient knowledge of german so try and pick a course which suits you and dont fret about the brand name. All you can do is apply and hope for the best.
