Plz help me decide on my destination ??

I'm an Electrical passout interested for MAster's in the Power Engineering domain mostly Power electronics, Power Systems, Smart-Grids.

Based on such factors as University ranking, reputation, course-fee; I had finalised TU Munich MSPE as my final destination although I had a slight reservation with course orientation being more towards Mechanical Engg.

More recently I got an admit from EIT KIC Innoenergy SENSE- Smart Electrical Networks & Systems MAster's course which deals with innovations in Smart-Grid & the course-curricula seems tailor-made to my interests. The first yr will be in KUL, Belgium & 2nd yr (tentatively, might change) in UPC Barcelona with specialisation in "Power electronics as Enabling Technology for Renewable Integration". It will be the 1st time that this course is being offered.
Also I've got a Cat A full-scholarship with monthly stipend etc.

So I'm thoroughly confused now as whether to go for TUM or SENSE ?? Are these EIT InnoEnergy programmes genuine & accredited ?? Double-degree will be given by both the universities of the mobility-track. Are these kind of degrees awarded through a consortium held in good-stead world-wide ? What will be the future prospects after getting such a double-degree in terms of doing further Ph.D vis-a-vis a regular Masters course ??

Seniors/Moderators please provide some guidance/advice/suggestion/info & help me make an informed decision on whether to opt for TUM MSPE or InnoEnergy SENSE...

Looking Forward, Thanks.

Its really tough to choose, But scholarship is important factor to consider. Well both KU Lueven and UPC Spain are good universities in europe. Even I have applied Innoenergy Course still I'm waiting for the results. If you like the course structure and CAT A scholarship is added plus. Job prospects in spain is poor now thats the only concern, but doing Phd is possible.
TUM is great university in Europe and job market in Germany is good. So its real tough decision to make. If I were you I will choose Innoenergy, because you're not gonna spend anything for the masters and getting a dual degree as well Smile

Yup Thanks gowthamtce !! I'm much obliged with your reply. Really means a lot !!
Atleast someone in Edulix takes the time-out to reply & help others Mad
Ya even I'm vacillating more towards the InnoEnergy SENSE program as the courses seem more appealing to me !!
Anyways would like to have some opinion from seniors.
Thanks!

I applied to Innoenergy too...InnoSELECT.I didnt make it.It was a dream.Go with Innoenergy,It will be amazing.

You ve got nothing to lose..No money out of your pocket.Though TU Munich is the better university,KU Leuven and Barcelonatech are only slightly behind.

Really-Really appreciate your advice & suggestion dost !! Very Happy
Means a lot to me. Its always good to have heads-up & perspectives from diff individuals !!
Ya even I contacted my EE batchmates currently in KTH & ParisTech and they are also of the same view to go ahead with InnoEnergy SENSE as the Smart-Grid topics will have much relevance in the future especially in the European context!!

Thanks once again Very Happy

And the people voting for TuMunich will have no idea what InnoSENSE is..TUMunich is the obvious choice for people who dont know what the program is all about

gowthamtce i got tired of waiting...when i got the Msc RENE reject from innoenergy that was it...I had to pay the fee for Eindhoven by 31st May...earlier I paid the better accomodation I got...I couldnt risk losing out on TU/e while waiting for Entech...Moreover I didnt like the course program of Entech.

gowthamtce As you know, KUL is an awesome university and any course offered by it should hold good standards. Since I am not from Electrical Background, I cant comment on the research work going on in the that department of the university. I guess you should wait for pulse and olivergomes reply. You should also have a look by yourself on the research being practiced there. It should give you a fair idea about quality of teachers and students there.

Good Luck.

KU Leuven is best of EU for analog VLSI and cyrpytology. However, their MSc program for EE includes a lot of undergrad courses too. I don't know other specializations.
