I want to do MS EE specializing in Micro/Nano electronics
I am also interested in pursuing a PhD.

TU Munich- NTU - Microelectronics (GIST-TUM Asia)
TU delft – Msc Microelectronics Track
University of Twente –Electrical/Nano
KU Leuven – EMM Nano
TU Darmstadt – ETIT
TU Dresden - Nanoelectronics
Chalmers
KTH
Aalto University

Do suggest If I should consider any other universities as well. And will I be able to get scholarship or some kind of aid Think as finance is an issue considering I want to do PhD further. And the reason being that, I have deferred my Fall 12 admit in US as of now. Anxious

The Black Swan Hi Nivethitha finally I have found your Edulix identity,
If you want scholarship then apply ICT labs program offered between various university of Europe.
Especially a program in embedded systems offered by five top notch universities TU/e, TU delft, KTH, Aalto, TU Berlin. You can select your 1st and 2st year university of your choice. Kindly consider this as a primary option. GIST will not be good yaar, apply TU Munich, Germany so you will get good exposure.
Good luck poorni Smile

M.Sc Sustainable Energy Engineering at KTH , Sweden and EPFL, Switzerland

TU Munich- NTU - Microelectronics (GIST-TUM Asia)
TU delft – Msc Microelectronics Track - mod (good chance for scholarship)
University of Twente –Electrical/Nano - mode/safe
KU Leuven – EMM Nano - mod/safe
TU Darmstadt – ETIT - safe
TU Dresden - Nanoelectronics - safe
Chalmers - safe
KTH - mod/safe
Aalto University - safe

I have been applied and admitted most of those universities/programs. If you want to be "process" guy, KU Leuven is the best place in EU since Nanotechnology program is part of IMEC (they are developing sub-10nm CMOS !). KU Leuven is also best for you since you are planning a PhD. It would be mod/safe for you, since your academics are good. My suggestion over KU Leuven is "do apply early" because the results will come after 4-5 monts (at least in my situation). olivergomes can comment further.

I suggest you to think TU Delft, Chalmers and Aalto also. They have decent process research. You have a good scholarship chance at TU Delft, and you will be damn lucky if you crach ASML scholarship. ASML is the one of the "photolitography machine" companies. TU Delft has DIMES also. But these would be your second plans.

Go for KU Leuven, it is the place !
