Help me on the decision !!!

I have got admission for a dual degree program "Clean coal technologies" with 1st year at a poland university(Either AGH or SUT) and 2nd year at KTH, Sweden. which was fully funded course covering both my tuition fees and living expenses. Previously I have got admission at KTH for the course "Sustainable energy engineering" with 100% fee waiver.
Certainly I'm in a dilemma that above mentioned dual degree program's course structure was not good. I want study lot of courses on renewable energy but in this course only limited scope for that to study those.
But at KTH 2 years program course content was excellent and 24 credits were allocated for solar energy alone.
I was really confused which one to choose but dual degree program has good scholarship offer. Please help me on the decision.

gowthamtce In my opinion, KTH full degree would be better choice, as you are not much interested in the dual degree course.
Its always easier to get involved in research projects at KTH if you spend more time there. Also keep in mind the practical matters such as possible gap between residence permits of different countries.

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

billa This dual degree offer will really saves some 10 lakhs rupees from my dad's pocket, Do you really advice me go for full program as the job scenario in Europe is not good. I just wanna know Is it good to do a phd with stipend after the dual degree. Since one of my degree comes from a unknown polish university. Please comment on it. And regarding the course content I will manage it.

My opinion was based on your following statements:

The idea is if you will force yourself to study something you are not interested in, it wont help much. Especially if you want to do PhD, you really need to be interested in something.

Both degrees have good sides. If money is important factor, then you can pick the dual degree, and plan your 1st year studies so that you can pick optional courses of your interest. Then work hard during 2nd year at KTH.

I guess sometimes the past just catches up with you, whether you want it to or not.

I support Billa's advice on going to KTH. It is always good to do your entire masters in a single University since you can do good research. KTH is anyways a reputed University.

I have a friend who had done the Sustainable engineering Programme. He however had the option of doing it in 3 different universities
1. Sustainable Energy Engineering in KTH (1 sem)
2. Wind energy in TUD (1 sem)
3. Sustainable Energy Engineering in NTNU (2 sem including his thesis)

I had asked him about his experience and he had the same opinion that doing MS in multiple universities is not a good option. He had to take up quite a few courses which he wasn't interested in.

There is always the possibility of doing part time jobs in Sweden to cover your living expenses. Initially you may have to set aside 10 lakhs. But once you start working part time, you should be able to earn back and at the end of 2 years, you may not have spent anything from your pocket for education.

In an earlier discussion, billa has mentioned about the part time job possibilities and also the potential earnings.

Dude if ur dad isn't very uncomfortable with the 10 lakhs,I see better value at KTH.
And solar is your line not coal.I would be saying something different if you got Msc Rene or Entech.

vikksuriya So you say M.Sc Sustainable energy engineering should be preferred. Even I was thinking the same but that scholarship offers kindle me to join even without spending anything. But in research terms single degree is better and I agree with krazzycool suggestions
